The best way to determine your nutritional needs is to use a test called hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA). HTMA is a non-invasive lab test that can reveal system-level imbalances and can remove much of the guesswork involved in choosing supplements. When used properly, it is part of a holistic system of balancing and strengthening your body chemistry.
But even without testing, most people need certain basic supplements to begin rebuilding their health. These supplements are outlined in the table below, along with the daily dosage for each. This program is for adults only.
With the basic supplement program, it is best to take all of the basic supplements together, instead of picking and choosing which ones you want to take.
The Basic Supplement Program
|Daily Dosage for Adult
|one – three tablets*
|Kelp (Iodine + Trace Minerals)
|start with 2,000 mg
|Paramin (Calcium and Magnesium Chelate)
|Selenium (Selenomethionine or food-based selenium)
|GB-3 (Digestive aid with ox bile and pancreatin)
|one with each meal
|EPA-DHA (Omega-3 Fatty Acids from Fish Oil)
|20+ minutes of sunshine daily
*If you have already done a hair analysis and your test shows that you are a fast oxidizer or a four lows pattern, the daily dosage for Megapan should be one-half (1/2) of a tablet.
